The purpose of FMAA is to promote a unifying influence on the field of medical auditing. FMAA encourages anyone who is concerned about the cost of health care, billing issues and clinical auditing to join our association and attend the Florida state seminars. We meet on a quarterly basis, on the third Friday of January, April, July and October. The business meeting is conducted during our quarterly seminar. The purpose of the FMAA is to promote a unifying influence on the field of medical auditing. The underlying principles found in the FMAA objectives are:
- Development and promotion of an environment conducive to the open exchange of information pertinent to medical auditing
- Development and acceptance of criterion which fosters professional performance by the individual medical auditor and fosters a professional approach to the field of medical auditing
- Open exchange of information between the health care provider, third party payer and audit vendors regarding individual medical auditing
Professional approach to medical auditing by maintaining licenses, standards of conduct, developing auditing skills, confidentially and supporting the standards of medical auditing. |
